Your Professional Point of View

Do you remember why you entered your profession? What drew you there?

How does your motivation shape what you do and how you do it? With whom and for whom?

What & Why

In connection with your personal brand, articulating a professional Point of View (POV) can help you position your priorities and values to others and differentiate yourself in the competitive landscape. A POV can also guide you in leading authentically.

How we view the world shapes how we operate in it. Being coachable, agile and open to learning and relearning are important; however, to do this, one must have a grounded sense of self upon which to launch and return. A POV could be novel or generic, as long as it is true and worth hanging your hat on.

What guides your decision making?

What shapes how you approach your work?

What direction do you believe your field is headed in?

What positive change do you wish to bring?

How you view the world, your role in it and the future you are creating matter. Make a choice; take a position; develop a point of view. Then, act on it and share it.

My Point of View

All talent is unicorn talent. Namely, all talent should be celebrated for their unique qualities and inherent value. All talent is worthy of respect, protection and development. Instead of seeing unicorns as the prized few; we need to recognize the inherent value and unrepeatable nature of all people and act accordingly. When unicorns are recruited, retained and nurtured to thrive, magical things happen! My professional life is dedicated to helping all talent see and seize their potential, with a focus on empowering today’s and enabling tomorrow’s leaders.

To the Point

Know what you stand for. Identify what motivates you. Say it loud, say it proud. What is your professional point of view?
