SNOW has become a favorite discussion tool of mine. It’s evergreen (wintery pun intended) and highly versatile.

When a group is exploring new ideas or learning fresh content, help them engage with the material, test its concepts and personalize how they act on it through a SNOW discussion.

Select one question for each letter:

S is for Surprise

What surprised you? What stood out?

N is for New

What was new to you? What did you learn?

O has Options

Objective: What were the learning objectives?

Opportunity: Where can you apply what you learned?

W is for Wonder

What are you still curious about? What do you want to learn more about?

To the Point

Surprise, wonder and novelty reveal fresh insights and spur intrinsic motivation to act.
